Aquent's client, a large multi-nationals services company headquarteredin NYC, seeks a Senior / Lead UX Designer for a 12+ month assignment (full time hours, W2, with potential to extend or convert to a perm role)

As a Sr. UX Designer on this team, you will be responsible for working on creating high quality products for customer care professionals. This is a matrixed, complex environment and we are looking for mature, thoughtful and experienced designers. You must be comfortable defending ux decisions and knowing how and when to compromise.

Note: Employment eligibility to work in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.

Seeking a Sr. UX Designer with:

• A strong background designing for enterprise or SaaS products
• A clear portfolio showing your work and your processes including IA, early UX decisions, and your approach
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with product owners, engineers, research teams and other designers, all of various UX backgrounds and awareness
• Deep experience in designing end-end journeys in addition to strong ability to work in an agile environments
• Defend design decisions based on user research conducted by the research team, personas, and best practices
• Demonstrated ability to sketch, wireframe, and apply UI elements to UX designs
• Strong background in information architecture and/or content strategy
• Participate in the product life-cycle from discovery to execution
• Lean on analytics and research teams to make informed design decisions

Your performance is measured by the impact of the products you launch and by your ability to collaborate with cross-functional team that includes Product, Engineering, Analytics, Business Development, and Operations.

In this role, you will:
• Transform ideas, business opportunities, research and creative vision into tangible assets that provide clear, usable, useful and desirable outcomes for users
• Create detailed wireframes, information architecture diagrams, mental models, personae’s, usability testing stimulus, site maps, story boards, user flows and high / low fidelity prototypes along with a wide range of UX assets and deliverables
• Lead and establish best practices and design thinking / process - driving best digital experiences
• Lead UX design works in agile, fast moving environment – fluently deliver just in time design works for sprint cycles while enhancing the quality and experience of the products
• Lead a team of UX designers through all phases of product development, ship, and iterate
• Manage relationships with global business partners, brainstorm and create concepts which form the user experiences cross channel (mobile, tablet and desktop )
• Work in collaboration with key project team members, including user experience researchers, product owners, tech leads, developers, strategy, PM, and visual design
• Be a passionate advocate for the user, ground ideas in data driven solutions by partnering with our User Experience Research team to incorporate customer insights and principles throughout the creative process.
• Ensure adherence to design best practices, standards, brand consistency

Qualifications needed:
• 5+ years UX experience designing consumer facing applications, websites and mobile experiences
• Instinctive need to simplify
• Great capacity to turn complex interactions into intuitive user experiences
• Deep and committed user empathy
• Self starter –leads projects by example
• Exceptional skills in ideation, sketching, wireframing, user flows, mapping and information architecture
• Ability to create both high & low fidelity prototypes improve
• Fluency with design tools, most notably OmniGraffle, Ilustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Invision and/or other UX & prototyping software
• Clear and current understanding of the capabilities and limitations of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Demonstrated experiences launching products on javascript frameworks, designing responsive cross channel services and applications, and delivering UX works within agile production
• Driven explorer to improve user needs and make life easier for the user without the user asking
• Data sleuth –skilled at combing through analytics and behavioral insights to generate new experiments and opportunities to improve our products and differentiate the user experience
• Clear and confident communicator with an affinity for visual storytelling , knows how to communicate with team, peers, and business leads
• Ability to learn quickly and provide UX leadership in a dynamic and matrixed environment
• Strong portfolio showing breadth of UX Design work
• Experience with service design a +!

Educational requirement:
• Degree in Computer Science, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction or related field, or equivalent working experience
