Job Description:

Our large financial services client located in Richmond is seeking a Copywriter & Comms Specialist for a 6 month contract position with potential for extension.

This is a full-time, onsite position with one of our best clients.

This position sits on the Risk Management team - which own products and processes that are shared throughout the enterprise. The day-to-day responsibilities are internal email drafting / internal blog posts / leadership announcements / mentoring with engagement team (they crate moral boosting surveys and events for employees) / creating and populating monthly newsletters /  employee communications / internal org changes & announcements.

How you’ll help us succeed/ responsibilities:


Play a key role in keeping the associate population inspired, engaged, and informed

Mentor and support ERMs Engagement Team in their communications

Gather, edit and format content for ERM monthly internal newsletter. Including leadership blogs, upcoming dates, Engagement Team news, etc.

Partner with ERM’s Communications Specialist to add content to and format the ERM Pulse Page (intranet)

Draft one-off email “organizational announcements”

Format team presentations to ensure brand consistency

Wordsmith - partner in ensuring all ERM communications are consistent, concise, well written

Support All Hands and Town Hall meetings

Creative support (video, graphic design, HTML) is a plus

Confident in verbal and non-verbal communications across all levels of an organization

Able to influence peers and executives within a corporate environment


Preferred Qualifications


At least 2 years of copywriting and communications experience

1 year of graphic design experience (nice to have)

Previous agency or freelance experience

Experience using GSuite, Adobe Suite, PoppuloReason For Request: Enterprise Risk Management is developing communications channels to support the launch of new programs.
