Our client is looking for an experienced UX Researcher for their NYC office. This role will have the opportunity to work across a few of their internet product offerings. They're looking for someone with ~5+ years experience, and understands what it takes to work with other UX talent, product managers and engineering staff on new product ideas.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other UXRs to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. 
  • Interface with stakeholders with adequate knowledge of the feature set, including the purpose of the feature, the current UI, and the target users
  • Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research.
  • Conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences.
  • Collect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs, and online experiments (A/B testing).
  • Collaborate with other researchers on research plans
  • Conduct literature reviews and summarize existing research reports
  • Work with the recruiters to schedule study sessions
  • Analyze qualitative data
  • Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations
  • Communicate findings from the study to the research and product leads

Skill/Experience/Education:
Mandatory:

  • 4-5 years experience with UX research in a work setting, in an in-house environment (the years of experience should exclude academic and agency work)
  • M.S./M.A. or Ph.D. in psychology, human factors, HCI or a related field
