Aquent is looking for an Information Architect for our Fortune 500 financial client in Boston, MA. There are two positions available: one Senior (10 years experience) and one Mid Level (3-5 years experience). This will be a full time, onsite, ongoing assignment with full benefits - medical, dental, 401K .

In this role, you’ll be responsible for understanding the attitudes and needs of clients and translating this knowledge into useful, usable, and beautiful experiences delivered via desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. You’ll also use your communication skills to facilitate the design process and engage in positive discussions with your design team, business partners and developers.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong information architecture, visual design, and interaction design skills. Although the role is part of a team that includes user research and front-end development, an understanding of methodologies, capabilities, and limitations of those disciplines is a necessity.
The Expertise You Have
• Relevant experience as an interaction designer, experience designer, information architect, or a similar role
• The ability to understand customer needs, motivations, and behaviors and translate them into deliverable tasks
• Confidence crafting an experience vision for highly transactional websites, web-based, or desktop applications
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality interaction designs to customers/stakeholders in a collaborative environment
• Experience creating design artifacts such as (but not limited to), wireframes, user flows, user journey maps, design comps, prototypes
• Practical experience facilitating customer and user sessions, contextual research, and usability tests
• Experience with Agile methodology and tools
• Proven expertise with Sketch, Axure, InVision, or Photoshop

• Your proven experience in designing web and desktop interfaces using established design systems
• Your outstanding social and presentation skills; equally at ease speaking with development teams or executives when articulating and advocating design concepts and rationale

• Develop scenarios, user flows, screen designs, and interaction models
• Facilitate design reviews with technology teams, internal business customers, and project partners
• Help develop UX guidelines and standards for use across all products to meet the strategic goals of the organization
