Visual UI/UX Designer - Focus Visual UX- Global Beauty/Haircare

This is a 1 year long term freelance position based in NYC. This person would be onsite 2 days per week and be able to work remotly the remaining 3 days but should have some flexibility to come onsite as needed for meetings/presentations

Looking for an exceptional UX/UI designer. This role is focus on UI Visual with Wireframing included in responsiblites. Good UX thought process. Must have eCommerce experience. Should have experience in designing for web (understanding of HTML5, ReactJS and Demandware CSS are all appreciated) and should understand the consumer lifestyle space. Must also have experience with digital media (facebook, Instagram, display) and CRM design.

This person will be responsible for the following project deliverables -


- CRM emails

- Display Media, Social

- Photoshoots


Bachelor's Degree in visual communication design or comparable experience
At least 4 years of experience working as a designer at agencies or in-house
Understanding of all aspects of the UX design process - Focus Visual & Wireframes
Strong experience creating design systems, as well as the ability to maintain an overarching brand aesthetic across channels
Strong portfolio that represents high quality visual and storytelling with branded executions
Ability to take a project from ideation to completion
Be hands on with strong and clean visual sense, design skills, typography, color, layout and attention to detail
Ability to communicate and collaborate on cross-functional bi-coastal teams
Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects
Passion about the latest techniques/trends/thinking in design


Workstations: Mac OS
Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Invision, Sketch, etc.)
Working knowledge of industry-standard technology (HTML, CSS...)
Excellent Communication skills
