Our Leading Consumer Goods Client is looking for an Art Director!
ART DIRECTOR will be responsible for designing and conceptualizing assignments that meet company marketing and communication goals. The position will report to the Creative Director.
Package Design—new products as well as updating, expanding and evolving current brands. Needs to learn brand voices, includes logo design and multiple styles of packaging templates. Helpful to have an understanding of packaging printing limitations, but not necessary.
-Interactive—banner ads, emails, web site design and updates, social media. Coding capabilities not needed.
-Print advertising— existing campaigns periodically are updated or re-concepted. Weekly releasing of ad materials to various publications.
-Collateral materials—brochures, coupons, handouts, postcards, circulars, direct mail, dimensional mailers across brands.
-In-store support—signage, banners, shippers, shelf talkers, POS, etc. Constantly evolving to support retail needs.
-Internal materials—product sell sheets, booklets, image library updates and assets, Creating and updating yearly to keep up with new product portfolio.
-TV—assisting in TV ideas/storyboards, monthly TV tags for retail promotional offers.
-Supporting retail partners marketing needs—update and provide product images for their websites, microsites, assets for circulars, shippers, signage, etc. Create circulars, monthly signage, web assets.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES AS REQUESTED:
Additional responsibilities to be determined and assigned by management.
The Art Director must be organized and able to follow file backup system, able to multi-task and handle multiple assignments across platforms, and be a good communicator. They will be working not only with the creative team but with marketing in briefings and project development and routing before release. In addition, they must have the following qualifications:
Able to multi-task and manage projects simultaneously
Interest in working as a team, yet able to be a self-starter
Detail oriented and an understanding of the importance of file backup
Able to think out of the box and present creative ideas
Able to work cross functionally with multiple business units and leadership teams
Ability to design in varied styles a plus
PREFERRED SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:
-Minimum of 5 years’ experience in art direction/graphic design capacity
-Proficient in CS6
-Pet Parent - Desired
