Fantastic Lead Senior Sales Operations Analyst Role

The Lead Senior Sales Operations Analyst is a critical role at our client. The ideal candidate is sophisticated, experienced with ability to effectively persuade business leaders and managers to drive business decisions.  You will help drive insights to inform key business decisions. You will own analyses, data mining for business insights, problem solving to inform business decisions, supporting the field with data, and some reporting. You will help drive the end-to-end customer journey, operations success, and business impact through data. This individual will use data and insightful analyses to support, inform, and where applicable, challenge decisions to help hone and serve APFM’s business goals. This is the perfect role for someone looking to make a big impact in a small company and see the results of their work immediately!


Key responsibilities:

  • The #1 responsibility is to develop compelling, accurate and insightful recommendations based on quality data analysis (e.g. Problem solving why a KPI is trending down, managing quotas, or having a POV on the ROI of a new tool we should consider).
  • Support the field/sales teams with their data requests, to help drive the business
  • Some reporting, on an as needed basis

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics 
  • Financial analysis experience, preferable but not required
  • Exceptional/Advanced SQL skills
  • Experience with R, Stata, or other statistical software preferred
  • Strong skills in Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • SSRS, Qlikview, data visualization experience not necessary, but a plus
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Self-motivation and driven to break down barriers to success
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Strong quantitative skills including the ability to analyze and interpret data, with accuracy
  • Solid understanding of the concepts of relational databases 
  • Ability to document and understand how data flows from users keystrokes to production systems through ETL processes to an enterprise data warehouse and into your analysis 
  • Ability to quickly respond to requested changes and identify process improvements 
  • Understanding of marginal analysis and the ability to calculate ROIs and break-even points 
  • Understanding of statistical regression analysis and the ability to discern causation from correlation (Not necessary but a plus)
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, work independently, and be able to chart direction of projects 

 Education Requirements:            

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics 
  • BA/BS degree required; S. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or Economics is preferred.
