Job Description:

Aquent Studios is seeking a Junior - Mid Level User Researcher to assist on a long-term project for one of our amazing hospitality clients. This is a salaried consultant opportunity reporting into an Aquent Studios Manager.

Are you eager to sift through layers of customer behavior and motivation through analytical, organized, and objective inquiry? Then join our new digital product studio of 20+ design professionals embedded with one of the world's most recognized hospitality brands in Bethesda, MD. You will help plan, execute, synthesize, and communicate insights & findings from research efforts spanning a variety of methods, helping to become an integral extension of our client's design practice while working on cutting edge innovation in a rapid growth B2C industry.

Responsibilities: 

• Create comprehensive research plans and be able to lead user research initiatives

• Work closely with other UX researchers to conduct user research and user testing

• Conduct optimization testing including A/B and multivariate methods

• Synthesize user research to produce easy-to-understand artifacts for non-researchers

• Analyze and incorporate quantitative data and qualitative insights into the design

• Work closely with fellow product designers, product teams, business partners, and development/engineering

• Be the voice of the user, a tireless advocate for simplicity and clarity of digital products

• Understand and be an advocate for user-centered design processes

Qualifications: 

• 3+ years of experience working in user research, digital product design, user experience, information architecture, interaction design, or related fields

• Strong experience conducting user testing, usability studies, user interviews, contextual inquiry, A/B testing, multivariate optimization testing, and other user research methods

• Experience with Adobe Target and UserTesting platform tool(s)

• Ability to translate user research into actionable user experience and product design

• Experience delivering executive quality written, oral, and visual research reports/presentations including summary key findings artifacts

• Experience turning user research recommendations into wireframes and design recommendations, even if just low-fidelity

• A user-centered, data-informed, and agile design mindset

• Ability to think big while paying attention to detail

• Working knowledge of quantitative, behavioral analysis and statistics

• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

• Team player

• Good time-management skills

• Great interpersonal and communication skills
