AQUENT is seeking an Art Director with intermediate to senior Level experience in Toronto for a top FinTech company. This is an amazing and unique opportunity to go in-house with a great group of creatives. The ideal talent will have 5-8 years of professional experience as an Art Director and have the ability to deliver full cycle campaign work in both the digital and traditional spaces. Art Director requirements: 

  • Senior level presentation skills 
  • 5-8 years of experience as an Art Director working full-cycle, across channels for big brands 
  • Ability to brainstorm, partner & collaborate well within a team of Art Directors, Designers, Production Artist and Copywriters
  • Experience taking marketing brief and turning that into a concept that solves the brief - all while meeting brand requirements
  • Proven success selling & presenting ideas to BIG BRAND partners that result in campaigns that are out in the market, yielding results 
  • Understand Branding and adapting Brand Standards
  • Manage workflow through entire lifecycle of a project
  • Oversee and manage a small team, including a designer and an editor
  • Portfolio: clean, modern, eye-catching, dynamic work that shows your problem-solving ability & understanding of marketing and customer branding  

Art Director responsibilities: 

  • Bringing design concepts to life and providing direction
  • Presenting to high-level partners, stakeholders, internal teams and external clients 
  • Blend of partnering / collaborating  and delivering on projects independently
  • Provide regular updates, communicate clearly, impact team morale in a positive way
  • Digital deliverables: banners, some social for branded portfolio for customer marketing, Facebook, Instagram, banner work in those formats, insta stories, caraseouls, executing through the different channels
  • Applying concepts across channels - billboard, printed hanging banners  + social & digital  
  • Experience reviewing creative proofs, press proofs, online testing
  • Self-organized and able to manage multiple deadlines on concurrent projects
