Job Description:

AQUENT is seeking an Email Marketing Manager for a Fortune 100 Financial Services client in Uptown, Charlotte. If you have specific email marketing experience from  the banking / financial services or FinTech industry - this could be a great fit for you! 

The ideal talent will have 3-5 years of experience strategically planning and executing Email Marketing Campaigns across an enterprise company or in a highly matrixed environment. Salesforce Marketing Cloud or ExactTarget experience is required.

Email Marketing Manager Responsibilities​: 

  • Flawless execution of email campaigns supporting numerous enterprise-wide products
  • Reviewing campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Influence business partners in order to position campaigns so they align with the Email Channel team’s strategy and best practices
  • Partner with Digital Marketing, List Management, Production Support, Email Production, Lines of Business as well as Leadership Team
  • Work closely with the creative agency and email vendor to align campaigns and projects and to ensure best practices are followed
  • Work on cross-channel opportunities for campaigns and other projects
  • Campaign set up and execution within Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Modify/Update HTML assets
  • Lead channel proofing process
  • Identify/Fix HTML rendering issues identified during testing
  • Lead special projects that will enhance channel capabilities and sales opportunities (e.g. testing, mobile optimization, speed to market, capacity, reporting, procedural, documentation, etc.)
  • Work closely with the creative agency and email vendor to align campaigns and projects and to ensure best practices are followed

Email Marketing Manager Required Skills: 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Directly relevant email experience preferred, but other relevant digital marketing experience will be considered as well
  • Experience with ExactTarget (aka. Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and Return Path
  • Experience optimizing within eCommerce
  • This candidate should be able to work well independently and in large group settings, as well as handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Must have excellent organizational, analytical, verbal, and written skills
  • Project and relationship management experience
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud; including Amp Scripting language & HTML
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
  • Ability to communicate challenges and successes clearly and foster positive working relationships
  • Proficient in MS Office Products – especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Preferred experience from the financial or banking industry, or other highly regulated environments
