Our Leading Consumer Packaged Goods client is looking for a Brand/Category Manager

Position Summary:
Develops, implements, and evaluates Marketing activities to meet profit and sales objectives. Responsible for decision-making activities and the overall coordination necessary to properly set direction for and lead a brand. Must demonstrate mastery of marketing techniques as well as leadership, management and supervisory skills.

Business Analytics:
• Consistently presents recommendations and ideas based on appropriate level of analysis
• Effectively synthesize data from multiple sources to make both short and long term business recommendations
• Analyzes data and fills knowledge gaps with assumptions to develop Key Learning’s and implications for brand
• Identify consumer insights and develop innovative programs to capitalize on these opportunities
• Able to perform analysis to identify portfolio/category gaps
• Balances depth of analysis vs. risk/actionability for sound business decision making
• Has robust experience in advanced analytics such as Marketing Mix, Price Elasticity, Bases volumetric, Equity Tracking, PERT Studies
• Identifies opportunities to apply learning to other brands/segments outside the scope or responsibility

Strategic Planning:
• Experienced in leading the ABP process. Includes work plan management, developing accurate analyses, leading agency partners and P&L development. ABP exhibits a new level of thinking
• Leads execution of multiple marketing programs as part of ABP

Brand Development (Consumer Communication):
• Experienced in writing and/or leading a team to develop brand positioning statements, product concepts & promotional concepts; Uncovers new ways to speak about brands
• Establish communications platform
• Leads Claims development process (product and marketing claims only)with R&D and agency partners
• Delivers new ways of approaching program development and execution
• May be more actively involved in integrated planning
• Leads promotional or major packaging graphics projects including overseeing timeline to deliver on–shelf execution date
• Given experience, expected to deliver packaging projects that present a new perspective in a more efficient fashion
• Experienced in leading advertising development from briefs to overseeing consumer research to validate advertising
• Leader for advertising production and seeks production efficiencies

Required Skills and Experience:
• B.A/B.S. Degree
• At least 5 years of experience in consumer-packaged goods marketing

• MBA Preferred
• Proven leadership and strategic abilities
• Must be a decisive, action-oriented individual with experience leading others
• Proven ability to communicate cross functionally
• Must have excellent written and presentation skills
• Proven ability to work effectively on teams
• Must demonstrate mastery of marketing techniques
