Job Description:

This is a permanent, direct hire role in Mountain View, CA.  After an intitial "getting to know you" period, remote work will be permitted.


We’re seeking a Visual/UI designer to change the company user experience from being functional to something that’s delightful. You’ll use typography, color, space, and iconography to visually evolve our current and future user flows. You’ll work with a passionate group of designers, product managers, and front-end engineers to see your designs through from planning to implementation. You’ll work with other designers in the team to build a comprehensive design system, and will have autonomy in shaping the visual language of the product. You’ll interact with some incredibly passionate existing customers, and will be in a unique position to influence how potential customers perceive the product.

Design visually compelling interfaces that allow users to understand affordances and task flows throughout the application
Collaborate with other designers to create a product design system library. You’ll work on interactive components, and define their behavior.
Create illustrations to accentuate UI
Iterate through design feedback from internal stakeholders and customers.
Own your features. You can think through edge-cases, refine specs, find reasonable design solutions, produce detailed visual mocks, and work with engineers to build them.
Leverage analytics tools to measure success, find opportunities and support your decisions.
Gauge the usability of existing and new features and make constructive suggestions for change.
Write clear, concise copy for your projects.

You have at least 3 years of experience as a UI designer, designing and shipping consumer or enterprise products
You have a portfolio that demonstrates world-class UI work. You can show before and after images of the products you’ve worked on.
You have a refined aesthetic sense and can both work within and expand upon the style.
You can present, justify and defend your design decisions to stakeholders.
You can understand the technical limitations behind your design decisions and have the ability to communicate your ideas to our engineers. It’s important that your designs are production feasible.
You actively look for opportunities to improve the product in innovative ways.
You stay up-to-date on the latest design trends and patterns and have the ability to critique them.
You are excited about a collaborative work environment and willing to help, share knowledge, and learn from your peers.
You’re open to feedback and constructive criticism.
You can function independently, be self-directed and can thrive in ambiguity.
You have experience working with design tools like Sketch, Illustrator, and Invision.

Bonus points if
You know motion design and can design micro interactions.
