Job Description:

We're looking for an experienced Consumer Product Marketing Manager to join our growing product marketing team, and support and delight our global community. The right person loves driving execution with excellence. You will be responsible for understanding the target consumer, influencing product strategy, driving go-to-market planning, and evolving the product brand. This is a position based at our headquarters in Menlo Park

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in overall product narrative and 6-month marketing strategy and plan to achieve product goals
  • Influence product strategy and in-product communications through relevant consumer and product insights, driving alignment across teams when needed
  • Develop core product positioning and messaging for improvements and features, considering value proposition, target audience, competitive landscape, and other factors
  • Create the go-to-market plan, collaborating closely with Product Management, PR, Design, Data Science, and other cross-functional teams to determine effective launch strategy, including rollout sequencing, creative asset development, and communication goals to best drive awareness, engagement, and affinity
  • Support and coordinate the efforts of internal cross-functional teams, including Product Management, PR, Design, and others
  • Tackle complex problems with a strategic mindset, and create thoughtful recommendations and action plans for solving those problems

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 4+ years of experience in product marketing, consumer marketing, and/or business consulting

  • Experience partnering with, influencing, and driving buy-in from product teams (Product Management, Design, Engineering, UX Research, Data Science)

  • Experience leading competitive and consumer research and using insights to inform product and marketing strategy

  • Experience launching campaigns in different markets around the world, utilizing on and off platform channels

  • Analytical and problem-solving experience

  • Knowledge of the social media, technology industry landscape

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing MBA
  • Demonstrated global experience and/or POV

  • Internet, technology, product management, management consulting, startup experience

  • Experience with consumer product marketing for social media, GIG economy, or technology products and platforms

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment while knowing how to navigate the organization

  • Skilled at managing numerous stakeholders and large cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the broader company ecosystem and landscape
