Our client, a major beauty company in NYC's Global Communications Creative team is looking for an energetic, creative, and resourceful person who is passionate about social media and design to join our team. The Content Creator is someone who loves social, photography, videography and design. This individual must be a multi-faceted creative who does whatever it takes to bring their idea to life. The content Creator is someone who is willing to jump in where they can to create amazing work—from photography to design to prop styling to animation. Above all, the ideal candidate should be a creative thinker and have exceptional taste that can adapt to each project.


Day-to-day responsibilities

• Execute beautiful, campaign quality photography/video for print and digital use.

• Concept and bring the creative product to life—from start to finish. This includes research, ideation, swipe, sketching, execution, post, etc.

• Participate in creative team brainstorms for campaigns, projects and marketing/brand initiatives to conceptualize these ideas.

• Generate creative ideas that you can execute based on specific project briefs and timelines. 

• Execute photo assignments upholding brand standards in style, light, composition, props and deliver post-production assets according to Company standards.

• Have passion for content creation—design, GIF, video, photography, stop motion.

• Collaborate with freelancers and fulltime staff to ensure success of all studio projects.

• Source outside content creators to partner with in order to further evolve our brand’s aesthetic.

• Be comfortable art directing, propping and styling your own smaller shoots per Company brand standards.

• Know Post Production – Transcode, organize video editing and photo retouching as needed.

• Actively monitor trends and proactively make recommendations for brand-relevant content creation opportunities and latest social media trends.

• Maintain the photography equipment, video equipment, props and keep track of other studio needs while staying up to date on new processes, ideas and opportunities to help evolve the photography and process.

• Support Creative Director in other initiatives/projects as these arise.

Desired Skills and Experience

• 3-5 years previous experience at an agency or design studio.

• Must have photography experience, hands on video shooting and editing experience.

• Proficiency with a range of Adobe Creative Products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere).

• Technical and creative proficiency with camera, lighting and grip equipment, and professional set etiquette required. You may be asked to assist with sourcing props and styling for still life photo shoots.

• Confidence and experience with variety of video and still cameras, lighting and grip equipment and other technical tools.

• Comfortable being flexible and adapting working styles based on the specific needs of a project.

• Knowledge of all social media platforms.

• Detail oriented, but able to focus on the bigger picture.

• Organized with diligent follow-through on every task assigned.

• A self-starter but has the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.

• Efficient time management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.

• Strong work ethic – goes the extra mile without being asked.

• Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.

• Shares and presents ideas with confidence.

• Self confidence and composure to accept critique, process it, and apply their learnings to improve.
