Proofreader/Editor for large Benefits documents. 

Responsible for communications/public relations strategy and support for a small business or a business segment to support the achievement of business goals and maintain/improve the company's image. 

Consults with senior managers to understand communication needs. 

Develops communication goals, objectives and plans to best communicate management's position or message. Identifies communications opportunities and the design/medium/channel for execution. 

Analyzes information regarding team member or public opinion and recommends organizational position to management. Manages complex and/or sensitive communication projects. 

Negotiates with vendors and manages complex vendor relationships. 

Serves as designated spokesperson on a variety of issues, including highly sensitive issues. 

Position may include responsibility for overseeing or conducting civic/community relations activities; providing training and guidance to less experienced consultants; and/or leading a small team of communication consultants including selection and development of staff.: 6+ years communications experience.This position is responsible for writing, editing, and coordinating various Benefits Compliance communications, specifically for the 2019 Benefits Compliance Communications project. This includes verifying edits and changes from our business partners, coordinating documents between our partners and our editor and designer, and suggesting new and/or improved language in these documents. It also includes leading "editing parties," which are meetings in which we discuss proposed edits, get agreement on changes, and answer any outstanding questions
