Job Description:

Our client is looking for an exceptional Head of Digital Product to join a new team focused on designing global product strategy for disruptive consumer omnichannel innovation, working across markets and disciplines, including engineering/platform, design, and business operations, to define and drive our digital consumer engagement product strategy globally. 

What you'll do: Global Product Strategy 

  • Define global product vision and roadmap, providing clarity on feasibility, time, cost, and impact with support of local market teams 
  • Serve as connective tissue with local market products/teams to identify opportunities to expand successful local features/functionality to other markets 
  • Drive global product innovation strategy including identifying markets to serve as pilots for new, disruptive features/functionality and working closely with local market teams to design, implement & test innovative features 
  • Work closely with a global cross functional team and local market teams to define requirements and design features with the goal of securing product market fit and growth 
  • Act as the voice of the patient and eye care professional (ECP), with a deep understanding of user personas, pain points, and patient/ECP journeys 
  • Constantly recalibrate the global product strategy based on learnings from in-market data and qualitative user interviews 
  • Gain and share insights within global COE team and across local market teams ensure local executions are guided by an underlying consistent global strategy 
  • Provide direction to designers keeping with the overall product vision and business goals 

Execution 

  • Partner closely with Global Engineering/Platform lead to ensure technology stack alignment with product roadmap 
  • Effectively prioritize and define product features so that Engineering, and others, can collaboratively design and execute 
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to scope, design, concept test, and deliver innovative solutions 
  • Continuously rebalance product / service features which maximize value to focus on the highest returning initiatives 
  • Review wireframes and designed UIs, and provide feedback to design team on the user experience, as needed 
  • Assist with the development of business cases and operating plans 

People Management 

  • Attract and retain world-class product and design teams

  • Work collaboratively with others on the leadership team to ensure corporate objectives are met 

Skills: Minimum Requirements: 
Bachelor's Degree 
8+ years of Relevant Experience 
5 years of Demonstrated Leadership 

Desired Expertise and Experience 
8-10 years experience launching and scaling multiple consumer-facing software products in the digital health and/or consumer space with a demonstrated and focused desire to build products / services that consumers will love 
Excellent leadership skills and experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams 
Demonstrated success building products involving close coordination between design, engineering, and business operations 
Excellent sense of functional interface design with experience working with designers 
Extensive experience with agile software development 
Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment with a build, test & learn mentality; and willingness to get hands dirty and do whatever it takes to ensure success 
An entrepreneurial spirit and ability to operate independently 

Nice-to-haves 

Experience managing designers/UX associates and/or creating wireframes 
Working experience with Sketch, Adobe CS, and InVision 
Previous start-up experience 
Prior experience working with IT, Legal, Regulatory and Global partners 
Glasses and/or contact lens wearer
