Job Description:

Our client is looking for an up and coming Product Owner that will lead the development and ongoing management of our Incentive Fulfillment Platform, a homegrown-based application that tracks and monitors customer activity performed in response to marketing incentive offers, and then triggers bonus payouts to customers who successfully complete all required offer behaviors.

The ideal person will be someone who has prior experience in delivery of solutions in one of the following areas – Digital Marketing software, Marketing Technology software like CRM, Campaign Management tools, etc. or as an alternative e-commerce platforms. Incentive or Offer Fulfillment is the critical concluding step in the overall Marketing lifecycle and has significant customer-facing impact as well as legal and compliance-related ramifications.

The Product Owner will need to interface with a variety of business partners along with a dedicated tech team to ensure well-managed execution of the incentive fulfillment process.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Requirements Definition: Either individually, or in partnership with users and/or marketing stakeholders, creating well-defined requirements for product features which can be easily understood by our engineering team 
  • Solution Design: Provide clear solution design inputs, leveraging marketing use cases to influence a conceptual solution design, goaled to support the technology enhancements which is defined by our engineering team 
  • Roadmap development: Act as the business gatekeeper for the platform – continuously refine, maintain and prioritize a backlog of new offers, feature enhancements and technology requests 
  • Monitoring and Quality Review: Conduct post modification validation and ongoing monitoring, as demanded by the initiative 
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all things data (in and out) and technology for the Fulfillment platform 
  • Attend weekly tech team ceremonies 
  • Ensure well-managed execution of daily bank marketing incentive fulfillment 
  • Attend Consumer Bank Marketing Technology team meetings as applicable to understand the overall marketing technology landscape and upcoming priorities 
  • Support ad-hoc requests relating to audit inquiries as well as monthly metric reporting & monitoring 
  • Provide data research support as needed 
  • Drive issues to successful resolution 

Attributes we are looking for in this individual: 

  • Finds the right tone for engaging both Tech and Business partners and clearly articulates requirements, details and trade-offs between the two. 
  • Analytical problem solver who can clearly identify, analyze, and resolve issues as they arise 
  • Able to engage hands on with technology (not coding but pseudo flows), data or queries for issue or opportunity research 
  • Willing to learn other aspects of the Marketing Automation suite – such as Salesforce 
  • Leveraging critical thinking skills to improve end to end processes 
  • Effective communication, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills 
  • Execution focused: Results-oriented with a "can do" attitude and passion for maintaining well-managed processes 
  • Inquisitive and customer experience oriented. Short-term, looks for new ways to engage with incentives to compel consumers to take action; Long-term, is able to define the 2.0 Incentives platform 
  • Understanding of Scrum and/or Scaled Agile Framework process and best practices 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience 
  • At least 3 years of experience in delivering solutions through the software development lifecycle in one or more of the following areas: Digital Marketing, Marketing Automation (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Marketing Cloud), CRM, Marketing Campaign Management (Adobe Campaign, Unica Campaign) 
  • At least 2 years of experience in gathering requirements and documenting interface agreements between marketing systems 
  • At least 2 years of experience in solution design with Technology Team Members 
  • At least 2 years of experience with SQL and data analysis 
  • At least 2 years of experience in API integrations 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master’s Degree 
  • 1+ year of experience as a Product Owner 
  • Understands omnichannel customer journeys Iwith emphasis on Digital) 
  • 1+ year of experience working with Cloud-based offerings like AWS or S3 
  • 1+ year of experience in working with big data or data lake solutions like Snowflake, Hadoop, or Cloudera
