Job Description:

Our client is searching for a customer focused, analytical and enthusiastic native app Product Owner to join their Digital Experience team. In this role you will set strategy and lead execution of new app centric capabilities to transform our iOS and Android experience resulting increased engagement, brand awareness, and sales. You will make an expansive and lasting impact by delivering an immersive, personalized experience for our millions of passionate beauty enthusiasts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to build a shared vision across the enterprise by building a product roadmap, aligning to go-to-market strategy for the company and our merchandising, marketing and loyalty program leadership
  • Partner with stakeholders, line leaders and the agile team to define KPIs and success metrics for the app holistically as well as specific user journeys
  • Drive the ideation, technical development, and launch of new in-app capabilities including core merchandising and order functions as well as app-only capabilities such as augmented reality try-on experiences
  • Partner with Brand and Creative stakeholders to realize an aesthetic that captures the commany's brand essence while bringing it to life in a digital, deeply app centric way
  • Break down concepts captured in the overall vision and roadmap into epics, stories and validation criteria to feed into the agile development process
  • Lead an agile team comprised of talented and committed UX designers, creatives, developers and quality assurance professionals through story workshops, backlog grooming, ad-hoc whiteboard sessions to work through the details, development, validation, demos, pre-launch activities and post-launch stabilization
  • Assess adoption of the new releases through app store download, crash rate, and end user review analytics as well as usage statistics from our web analytics team 
  • Incorporate A/B testing, analytics, market research and consumer insights to refine roadmap and future capabilities to continually reinvent the experience and grow sales, engagement and connection with our digital audience
  • Stay informed of consumer, technology and app specific trends to identify new markets and inform future strategy and prioritization

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • 5+ years experience as a mobile product manager or equivalent role with portfolio of accomplishments demonstrating the above responsibilities
  • Deep empathy for the customer experience and identification with our core audience 
  • Demonstrated experience building strong partnerships across UX, Design, and Development teams
  • Communication skills necessary to present big ideas in a simple way to a broad audience and secure buy-in to the vision, goals and execution plan
  • Ability to clearly organize large goals into an iterative, actionable, and achievable plan
  • Capable of balancing between quality and speed of delivery/fast iteration- moving the experience forward in parallel with remaining a stable and growing component of the overall eCommerce channel
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment, deal with ambiguity and remain focused on execution

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines
  • Capability to participate in training sessions, presentations and meetings
  • Travel approximately 10% of your time. (stores, meetings, conferences, training)
