This ecommerce company based in San Jose, CA is seeking an experienced UX Designer to join their dynamic and collaborative UX team to work on a number of forward leaning products.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate an ability to design simple, engaging and meaningful interfaces within a complex ecommerce ecosystem across any device. They would have an understanding of design principles and trends, and have a passion for learning and growing in the design field. Prior experience shipping products that are well designed is a must.

Create world-class, user-centered designs incorporating business requirements, product learning and customer feedback
Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, prototypes, and creative spots.
Communicate your design work and negotiate future direction with peers, researchers, design leaders, product partners and executives

Your day to day will consist of various design related activities:
• Partner with researchers, strategists, product managers, engineers, designers, and other professionals from across the country (and the world) to define and build products that will create a positive user experience on the site.
• Deliver wireframes, visual design, prototypes and final specs as needed
• Collaborate with designers across the organization on projects that cross team borders
• Present your work in weekly design reviews and make your voice heard
• Support product leads and articulate design decisions to product stakeholders and leadership
• Balance opinion and intuition with data and analysis
• Be the voice of the user

Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design or equivalent
3+ years of professional experience as an interaction designer or similar role 
A portfolio that showcases relevant design projects and includes your process, design explorations and final work.
Ability to understand detail and find radically simple solutions that delight users
Experience with Sketch, Figma, Zeplin, Invision or equivalents
Experience partnering with product and developers to deliver great experiences

Able to work independently, manage uncertainty and switch between discovery and delivery tracks in a single conversation
Experience in visual design, prototyping, user research, motion design, design sprints
Experience designing for ecommerce, financial products or with complex information sets
