This Brand Communications Copywriter will be responsible for ensuring customers and prospects have the information they need to make smart decisions about their money. This position will write a variety of communication types including online display advertising, paid search ads, social and digital content, video scripts, customer service letters and emails, marketing emails, website copy, FAQs, call center talking points, and more. 

As part of an internal Creative Services team and collaborating with stakeholders in Brand, Product, Marketing, Operations, Legal and Compliance, you will craft messaging that is customer-centric, accurate, and legally compliant and drives a response from the reader. 

Produce copy according to brand guidelines and in the Marcus voice for traditional and new media formats 
Work with designers to develop concepts and execute first-class creative materials 
Write copy that meets regulatory and compliance requirements 
Quickly become an expert in our business, products, and customer-centric brand 
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Product, Marketing, Operations, Design, Legal and Compliance) to create copy according to creative brief specs and schedule 
Solicit and receive feedback and approvals from stakeholders 
Manage multiple projects and deadlines, from quick-turns to longer, in-depth projects 
Continuously monitor latest marketing and communication trends and competitive products and apply insights to team 
Work with product managers and designers to identify testing opportunities, funnel optimization projects, and other product enhancements 

Excellent visual, verbal and written communication 
Thinks holistically about content and messaging 
Strong organization and project management skills 
Creative thinker with experience in conceptualizing ideas and successfully executing them 
Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities 

Basic Qualifications 
Samples via PDF attachment or link to an online writing portfolio required 
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in advertising/marketing copywriting, with a focus on consumer direct response and digital platforms 
Experience writing in a heavily regulated industry 
Ability to translate and simplify complex concepts into everyday consumer language 
Proactive team player, able to synthesize multiple inputs and feedback from various stakeholders 
Experience working with senior stakeholders, including Legal 
Experience maintaining a brand's tone and voice at every customer touchpoint 
Ability to develop excellent relationships at all levels within an organization 
Comfortable in a startup, fast-paced environment that involves working on multiple writing assignments at a time 
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint 
Bachelor's degree
