General Responsibilities: Create design concepts and present solutions to business stakeholders that satisfy both customer needs and business requirements. Work with Information Architects and Creative Designers to assist in User Interface or completed design delivery. Work closely with other designers and User Experience to understand nature of graphical designs and purpose of the enhancement, feature, or project. Build low-high-fidelity prototypes for design research. Create, optimize, and extract artwork for internal and external customers. Collaborate with the UX team to translate requirements, specifications, and wireframes into visual designs. Contribute to requirements and functional specifications. Use customer insight to continuously improve the user interface with the aim of increasing conversion. Contribute to advancing the team;s design methodology by focusing on quality, client-side performance, and efficiency. Keep up-to-date with new developments in relevant design, technology, standards, and best practices. In conjunction with the business owner for SEO, the business owner for the brand, product managers, and the UE team, define and enforce page development standards that optimize the sites performance in search engines. May provide ongoing XHTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript quality assurance, development and maintenance. Adhere to W3C standards for web site development and Section 508 & WCAG guidelines for accessibility; and provide cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility testing.
