A leading independent anti-aging skincare company, seeks a charismatic, experienced, and forward-thinking Social Art Director with an expertise in social media content. This candidate must understand how to bring together ideas, words and images to create a well-rounded social brand experience. The candidate’s ability to work from concept to execution is essential, as is their ability to work both independently and with a cross-functional team. Our growing team produces engaging, high-quality assets in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.
This role will work with and report to the Digital Creative Director and closely collaborate with the Brand Design Team, copywriters, and the rest of the design team, as well as other business, marketing and functional colleagues.
The Social Art Director must be very savvy in Social, required to know what works and what doesn't, in BOTH organic and paid posts. They must understand the need to be responsive and how to rapidly create social content that's on-brand and relevant.
Must be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment, the ideal candidate should be fluent in social media, photography and digital advertising platforms.
This talent needs to be a keen follower of technology, worldwide events, and pop culture. They must understand how to create engaging, meaningful content for the brand’s audience.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
Lead solid designs in support of creative strategy, under the direction of the Digital Creative Director
Create concepts, pre-production and post-production and execute all social media creative needs, including videography & photography, and graphic design for all digital & social channels
Able to bring innovative ideas from conceptualization to social media platforms for all digital and social campaigns.
Respond to briefs with creative visual solutions.
Sets up on-the-fly photo shoots and executes content with quick turnarounds for social platforms
Responsible for consistently executed brand-level photography for creative assets throughout all stages of the project, including set direction, driving prop sourcing/usage, narrative, lighting, composition, cropping, and retouching
Oversees production process for all social media creative assets.
Self-starter, must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment while
working on multiple projects simultaneously
Help determine the overall style and tone of the brand across social channels
Create mood boards for creative concepts, stories, and campaigns
Estimate and manage time accurately and independently; maintain project deadlines and budget
Manage the creative process from concept to execution
Work with Traffic, Production and Content to ensure asset execution in a timely manner
Key Elements for Success/ Must Haves:
BA or BFA Degree in graphic design or equivalent experience
6+ years in a highly productive creative environment, with 2-3 years of design experience centered on
digital/social media, beauty and fashion/luxury industry as a plus
Proficiency with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects. Premiere is nice to have, too
Great presentation skills, people skills, and the ability to work in a team environment are all key
Must be highly creative, flexible, innovative, dynamic, passionate, collaborative, and results-focused
An instinctive love of Social Media
Strong portfolio of real-world work that showcases expertise in social media content creation
An ability to speak to design techniques with a strong understanding of composition, color, imagery,
typography as it relates to the web, with a great eye for design
Extensive familiarity with social media, digital advertising and video platforms on all formats (desktop, mobile and tablet)
