As a photo retoucher on a potential 2-year assignment, you’ll join a culturally diverse group of 90+ strategic and creative explorers at an in-house advertising agency for a biopharmaceutical company with 29,000+ employees. 


You’ll be part of a diverse creative team—senior designers, web developers, motion artists, writers, editors, and account managers—that partners with cross-functional stakeholders to support 30+ leading brands. As a Photoshop expert, you’ll work closely with creative managers and designers to provide retouching solutions for multichannel materials used in 80+ countries. 


Responsibilities
• Retouch: Retouch photos of people (portraits and groups), products, and company events
• Composite: Create image composites and collages from multiple sources using nondestructive tools and techniques
• Color correct: Accurately evaluate and adjust exposure and color in Photoshop and Camera Raw
• Optimize: Optimize images for large format printing, websites, web banner ads, apps, LED screens
• Maintain a creative workflow: Establish a consistent image workflow in Bridge or Lightroom and create presets and actions for batch image processing to process a high volume of images under tight deadlines
• Organize assets: Collaborate with a digital asset manager and follow procedures for naming and saving files, assigning metadata, maintaining version control, and archiving images
Must have
• Education/experience: Bachelor’s degree in design, advertising, or related discipline; 10+ years’ experience retouching and compositing images
• Technical capabilities: Expertise in Photoshop—applying nondestructive editing techniques (using smart objects, smart filters, adjustment layers, layer masks), using the histogram to accurately evaluate color and exposure and make adjustments in Photoshop and Camera Raw, and understanding color profiles and color spaces (RGB, CMYK); awareness of new retouching techniques and the latest features in Photoshop
• Soft skills: High degree of initiative to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment; ability to absorb and respond to constructive feedback
• Portfolio: Must show before and after photos of your work
Nice to have, but not required
• Photography: Understanding of digital photography techniques for capturing people (portraits and groups), products, and company events; ability to give clear direction when posing individuals and groups of people
• Photo equipment: Working knowledge of setting up and operating studio lighting and camera equipment (Nikon and Canon)
• Print production: Knowledge of paper and printing technology, preflight in InDesign, image interpolation
• Ability to work overtime when needed to complete time-sensitive projects
