This position is temp to Permanent

Requiring an unusual blend of technical and business skills, this position is responsible for developing and enacting strategic departmental communication plans. Departments served by this function include Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Enterprise Services Portfolio, the Digital User Experience Team, and Governance & Operations.

Communication plan responsibilities include working with department leads to define their area’s individual communication goals and objectives; defining a plan for achieving those objectives; driving and assisting with the authoring of materials that support communication goals, including articles, electronic announcements, and slide presentations; and organizing and facilitating communication events such as webinars and other educational sessions.

The individual fulfilling this role must be capable of working closely with customers to build relationships, and continuously gaining a deeper understanding of what success means for their area. Most importantly, the individual serving in this role must be capable of working with a department to understand its services, recognizing the value of those services to our customers, and independently articulating that value and relevant “selling points” in communications materials.

An ability to utilize HTML and CSS to style articles on web pages is a definite plus. 


• One of the critical factors for success in this position is the ability to understand complex technical concepts and simplify them for a semi-technical audience
•MUST BE a clear, concise, and effective communicator and writer.

Required Job Qualifications: 
*Bachelors Degree and at least 5 years work experience OR technical degree and at least 7 years work experience OR at least 9 years work experience. 
*Ability to influence (indirect reports, stakeholders, and leaders) and execute while navigating organizational politics. 
*Teamwork and collaboration, as well as leadership ability. 
*Ability to simplify and standardize complex concepts/processes. 
*Conflict management and Customer relationship management. 
*Strategic vision and analytical thinking. 
*Clear and concise verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with all levels of management and employees, including developing and delivering presentations. 
*IT standards, procedures and policies (e.g., HIPAA.).
