Sr. Marketing Consultant – Self-Funded

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Professional to provide contracting support to our Self-Funded Marketing team. Self-funded represents our large group clients as well as labor and union groups and is one of the key strategic initiatives of the organization. The Sr. Marketing Communications Specialist develops complex marketing campaigns, programs and communication to support our sales and account management teams and ultimately, membership growth initiatives. A dynamic marketing professional who is a go-getter, creative, and is passionate about health care and marketing will be the ideal fit for this role. 

This is an exciting opportunity to own complex marketing projects from end to end. The individual will be responsible for a variety of marketing activities, including input into strategy, tactical planning, project management and oversight analytics, messaging and creative execution. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, and the ability to be customer focused in all we do is critical. 

The role reports to the Director, Self-Funded Marketing and works closely with Premier Accounts, Core Accounts, Channel Partners/TPA, Labor and Trust and various internal departments across the organization and within Marketing. Also interfaces with external parties in the development of marketing acquisition materials. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Lead the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and communications strategies focused on large self-funded purchasers and growing self-funded membership. May be responsible for presenting recommendations to senior executives. 
• Work collaboratively with prospects, clients and internal partners (Account Management, legal, Customer Service, HCQA, network, product, content and creative teams, etc.) to strategize, plan, and ensure successful execution of a variety of marketing campaigns and programs to meet business and corporate goals. Because this position will work with client executives/functional leaders on a regular basis and may receive guidance other key leaders, building and maintaining cross-functional relationships is a key component to success. 
• Operates autonomously but in way that is collaborative and integrative with overall direction/strategy. 
• Support the Director of Self-Funded Marketing with end-to-end development of marketing campaigns: writing the creative brief, recommend messaging and positioning, selecting tactics (email, online, social, print, etc.). 
• Lead the project execution of campaign deliverables by agreed upon deadlines and deliver on budget. 
Partner with other lines of business for marketing content development, document management and distribution. 

• Utilize data to optimize campaigns and recommend metrics to meet goals and objectives. 

• Monitor, track and report campaign progress against goals and relevant marketing metrics to management. 
• Maintain a strong knowledge of the Self-Funded business, our clients products, programs and services as well as industry mandates (ACA) and competitive solutions. 
• Support the development, implementation, and adoption of digital tools for internal and external users.

• Excellent computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, SharePoint, Project) 

Experience and educational requirements: 

• BA/BS in a related field such as marketing or business and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. An MBA is preferred, not required. 
• 2-4 years Business to Business Employer (B2B) marketing experience, health care industry preferred. 
• 5 years project management experience driving end-to-end execution of complex projects with cross-functional teams.
