Product Managers in Alpharetta, GA - A Fortune 500 financial services client is looking for a PM with a background in the insurance industry to create digital products for insurers on a contract-to-hire basis.  This person will have a strong understanding of product management techniques as well as the insurance ecosystem. Candidates will lead by influence and collaborate in a matrixed environment across product marketing, data, technology, sales, legal,and operations (among others).


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify market needs and opportunities through a wide variety of sources to generate innovative product offerings solving industrial pain points

  • Complete market analyses for new concepts: define market needs, size markets/segments, analyze competitive offerings, determine distinctive competencies, define channel strategy, etc. Draw conclusions that result in recommended product strategy

  • For approved concepts, shepherd new products through the New Product Innovation process, obtaining necessary approvals from key stakeholders

  • Develop and execute plans to drive full product lifecycle

  • Manage cross-functional teams by providing product leadership and daily management from inception to delivery

  • Meet with sales and customers as needed to gather VOC and to help guide product concepts, POCs and testing

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to contribute to and execute on go-to-market plans, working with product marketing, pricing, operations, training and sales

  • Contribute to and manage cross-functional development of User Guides, FAQ documents, training presentations, client presentations, etc. to support successful product launches


Required Skills

  • Expert knowledge of the insurance industry

  • 5+ years of product management experience creating products for insurers

  • Must understand data product development and delivery, and technology development process

  • Agile experience

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to anticipate challenges and work assertively to solve problems with cross-functional team

  • Adept at developing effective working relationships with peers, managers, and senior management within and across organizational lines

  • Tenacious: skilled at working to meet or exceed expectations by remaining focused on achieving critical goals and outcomes

  • Ability to multi-task, with excellent time management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with expert skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
