Overview:

We’re looking for a stellar writer to join our team. Someone who is smart, collaborative, curious, and of course, completely obsessed about clear and concise communication. If this sounds like you, we’d love to talk you about joining our team!

You will work with our product, design, and tax teams to write compelling UX content for our products and services.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in writing and editing
  • In depth portfolio of writing and editorial work, demonstrating a mastery of language, and the ability to simplify complex topics
  • Experience in a range of user interface content, demonstrating how to thread a consistent message through touch points 

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills, being able to simplify the complex, and communicate clearly and effectively
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, demonstrating effectiveness in managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Education:

  • Post-secondary education in English, Journalism, or similar field

Responsibilities:

  • Execute consistent messaging across product, marketing, and care
  • Write easy-to-understand, emotionally engaging content that inspires customer confidence and results in a delightful experience
  • Work closely a tight-knit team of interaction designers, visual designers, product managers, researchers, and other writers on a variety of high-visibility projects
  • Work closely with developers and QA, participating in an Agile development cycle
  • Validate your deliverables by performing content reviews, observing usability testing and responding to live customer feedback
  • Review the work of other writers and agencies, suggesting and defending content changes based on personal expertise, design rationale, customer data, and industry trends
  • Collaborate with product designers to create unified experiences, and constructively contribute to design reviews
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, using strong communication skills to manage time and expectations appropriately
  • Participate in customer research and use new insights to generate content that resonates with customer needs and delivers delight
