Job Description:

Seeking a Director of Internal Communications to work as a trusted advisor for leaders of our corporate / support functions and develop communications strategies that will help them meet their business goals. This role will report to the Global Head of Internal Communications. You will provide strategic communications counsel and hands-on support primarily for Legal, Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Finance, and Government Affairs -- working with these teams to craft communications plans and high-quality deliverables that drive business results. You should have the experience and savvy to determine the appropriate messaging, style, channel, and context and timing for all messaging and activities, and a core belief that effective communication is an ongoing process and is essential for employee engagement and the success of an organization. Responsibilities Develop and execute communications strategies for the support functions and their leadership Works closely with teams and key stakeholders to define communication objectives, audiences, key messages, and deliverables Anticipate, identify and address short- and long-term communication challenges, needs and opportunities Ensure that all messaging supports and is aligned with corporate goals and priorities Collaborate with other communications teams within the organization to share learnings, produce materials, and leverage expertise Find unique and creative ways to inform, educate and inspire employees around areas important to their experience. Work closely with creative and video teams (staff and vendors) to develop and incorporate compelling messaging and materials Partner with the external and social teams to identify opportunities to enhance reputation Assist with change and workforce transition plans and programs, including communications strategies to support change initiatives Use a wide range of communication channels (intranet, video, town hall meetings, email, skip level meetings, digital signage, podcasts, social media, recognition activities, etc.) to engage and inform employees Work with leaders to help them be with their communications skills Track and measure success Requirements 10+ years of experience working in the corporate communications field Experience working with senior executives A self-start who can lead, follow through and deliver, and adapt to changing circumstances Proven ability to work as part of a collaborative, mutually supportive team Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to translate ideas into clear, compelling messaging Bachelor’s degree
