Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, this position will drive marketing for Canadian programs and partnerships. The position will have broad visibility across the business – as well as the global Company Marketing Community – and will collaborate daily with peers across Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Support, Finance, and Analytics.

This position will be based in Mississauga, Ontario but you will work cross-functionally with partners located in our US site.


This individual will be responsible for the overall management and growth of the Company Education Program – which provides product training, support, and access to post-secondary institutions, educators, and students – in addition to developing and implementing new programs and partnerships to drive product awareness, consideration, and usage among students, entrepreneurs, and startups. The successful candidate will:

  • Develop marketing campaigns from strategy to execution across various marketing channels (i.e. email, blog, website, social, in-product, events, etc.) to drive program growth
  • Work closely with Business Development/Sales, Digital Marketing, and Channel Marketing teams, as well as external marketing agencies, to drive growth for the Education Program and other programs
  • Work closely with Customer Support, Product and Technical teams, as well as external agencies, to manage day-to-day operations of programs
  • Work with appropriate internal and external teams to ensure strategy alignment, plan delivery and campaign executional excellence with emphasis on customer experience and ROI
  • Uncover new qualitative and quantitative customer insights and leverage deep empathy to drive decisions and influence internal and partner strategy
  • Apply and adapt best practices (internal and external) to creative and resources in a compelling, customer-focused manner to engage with our customers and partners
  • Drive changes in customer behavior to improve KPI performance, understand conversion levers and leverage those to achieve success throughout the conversion funnel
  • Effectively use segmentation and targeting to optimize messaging for the right channel, target, and business goal (awareness, consideration, acquisition, or retention)
  • Understand a variety of digital marketing channels and tactics, including In-Product Discovery, Email, Paid Search, Display, Site, Events, Affiliates, Social and Mobile, and effectively integrate efforts across channels
  • Understand success metrics for each initiative, use analytical, hypothesis-driven testing and have the ability to articulate and prioritize analytics requirements to solve the most important customer problems
  • In consultation with our Analytics team, provide campaign analytics and results with insights and recommendations for optimization
  • Drive results by leveraging influencing abilities across teams without having direct management responsibility over those teams


  • 1 to 3 years of Marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Marketing required
  • Preference for candidates currently in the Fintech, Financial Services, SaaS, accounting, or post-secondary education industries
  • Proven track record in a variety of marketing disciplines including digital marketing, direct marketing, customer acquisition, product marketing, and program management
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of focusing on high-impact activities and driving initiatives through to execution
  • Ability to define strategies based on business goals and customer insights, lead with hypotheses and translate them into actionable tests and implementation plans
  • Innovative thinker with a passion for generating new ideas, nurturing a culture of creativity and continuing to raise the bar on business performance
  • Strong facilitation and influencing skills to drive and lead cross-functional initiatives, and to be effective in a highly matrixed, distributed, and fast-moving environment
  • Expected to be able to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing (and growing) priorities
  • Self-directed, proactive and able to define and execute projects independently (with input/buy-in from leader and key stakeholders)
