Aquent's Fortune500 client in Wellesley, MA is looking for a Usability/Accessibility Consultant for a 6 month + assignment (40/hrs 5 days on site) with strong potential to extend beyond


The Usability/Accessibility Consultant is an exciting and unique opportunity to assist usability and digital accessibility efforts at Aetna. Reporting to the Director of Digital Accessibility & Usability you will provide support to various project teams throughout the organization as well as our usability lab in Wellesley MA. 

Key Responsibilities 

Usability consulting 
• Oversee the use of the usability lab in Wellesley MA 
• Support usability testing as control room operator 
• Assist in usability lab facilitation when needed 
• Perform remote usability testing using tools such as User Zoom 
• Perform heuristic reviews of UX designs as needed 

Digital Accessibility consulting 
• Act as the Wellesley MA office point of contact for the Digital Accessibility Center 
• Perform and/or coordinate design reviews and accessibility audits of prototypes, websites, and mobile apps 
• Provide digital accessibility coaching and training to project teams 
• Assist in managing the Digital Accessibility helpdesk mailbox 

Knowledge Experience 
• 3 - 5 years of experience in the user experience (UX) and/or digital accessibility fields 
• Knowledge and experience with: 
o User centered design principles 
o Usability testing methodologies 
o WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards 
o Digital accessibility testing tools and processes 
o Assistive technologies such as JAWS, Voiceover, Talkback or NVDA screen reader 
• Some knowledge of HTML, CSS, Java Script preferred 
• Works effectively in highly collaborative, matrix team-oriented environments 
• Excellent organizational and project management skills 
• Effective written and oral communication skills 

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction or related fields 
• Master's degree preferred
