AQUENT is partnering with an innovative organization in Hartford, CT for a new Traffic Manager opportunity! The Traffic Manager is an immediate need for a large, innovative organization in the Hartford, CT area. Working alongside the Creative Project Manager, the ideal candidate will have creative flair, relish working in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage multiple project deliverables. Their primary responsibility will be to manage the resourcing and output for a team of in-house designers, ensuring that creative projects are managed in a way that facilitates the delivery of excellent work, to schedule. 

Roles & responsibilities

  • Manage, traffic and schedule the creative and production workflow for the agency
  • Ensure the creative department is working efficiently and on-time
  • Keep all parties informed on work progress, communicating changes quickly
  • Liaise with various teams in order to deliver elements to agreed timelines and deadlines
  • Manage and co-ordinate freelance resource and budget
  • Be good humoured, positive, and motivating at all times
  • Monitor current traffic processes and input ideas on how to improve them
  • Daily management of projects and account handling
  • Reporting on project status, workloads and accounts

Background and experience

  • 3-6 years previous traffic management experience in a similar role in an agency or in-house creative team
  • Experience using Workfront platform required; other project management platforms also preferred
  • Experience working with creatives and an understanding of the creative process 
  • Resourcing experience with high volume traffic projects 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time 
  • Experience using project management tools and developing processes for their use and integration with other tools 
  • Experience working with global teams beneficial 


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Professional project management qualification desirable but not essential
  • Highly organised and detail-focused
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to balance a wide variety of projects with varying deadlines
  • Strong listening and communication skills and able to display a high level of confidence
