Job Description:

Our large professional services client located in NYC is seeking a Senior UX Designer for a 6 month+ contract assignment with option for longterm extension. This is an onsite, fulltime, contract position. The position sits with the client’s Digital Studio

As a Senior UX Designer in our practice you will:

• Serve as an integrator between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients’ business needs

• Perform project tasks independently, and may direct the efforts of others

• Participate in or lead the development of client deliverable content

• Anticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issues

• Review deliverables for accuracy and quality

• Provide coaching to junior staff

• Contribute to new business proposals

• Manage own personal and professional development, seeking opportunities for expansion of consulting skills and experiences

• Bring the user-centered design (UCD) process methods to design for various channels from concept through launch

• Collaborate with product managers, design, engineering, quality assurance and clients to identify the best experience that meets user, business and technical needs

• Use strong interaction design and usability skills to make the complex clear, while understanding how it works behind the scenes and adjusting accordingly



• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of technology consulting or other relevant industry experience

• Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience

• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools

• Portfolio that shows examples of interactive data visualizations you’ve done as well as how you got there, including but not limited to sketches, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes

• Solid UX skills, with the ability to iterate through conceptual ideas and effectively communicate conceptualizations using sketches, storyboards, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, data visualizations

• Significant experience with creating designs, from concept through prototyping, with one or more of the following programs or technologies – Axure, Sketch, OmniGraffle, Adobe Creative Suite, Marvel, Principle

• Expertise that spans across UX, web engineering, and design or the ability to “speak the language”. That is, you should feel comfortable talking to other UX and visual designers as well as stakeholders and engineers

• Experience planning and facilitating user research and usability tests
