We are hiring a Sr Manager- Global Corporate and CSR Communications for a global outdoor product and apparel company who specializes in outerwear, footwear and equipment. Must have a background in corporate communications along with Self-Direction // take direction // project management can do attitude. You will be responsible to lead comprehensive communications strategies to evolve and protect
the brand, including brand storytelling and reputation management, executive visibility, crisis communications and issues management, Corporate Social Responsibility (Social Impact, Advocacy and
Start Date: ASAP (work remotely until June) would need to travel to CA for training
End Date: March 31 st, 2020 * could extend or go Full time after 2020.
Years of Related Professional Experience: 10+
Bachelor Degree in Business, Journalism, Marketing or Corporate Communications or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
10+ years of successful experience in Communications leadership role including strategic planning, communications/public relations, creative project management, and/or retail marketing, preferably with experience in the outdoor industry.
Strong project-oriented skills with both long and short-term projects requiring creativity and ingenuity.
Must be able to work professionally with flexibility in handling multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Excellent written, AP Style, and verbal communication skills.
Leads comprehensive communications strategies to evolve and protect
the brand, including brand storytelling and reputation management,
executive visibility, crisis communications and issues management,
Corporate Social Responsibility (Social Impact, Advocacy and
Scope of role:
Works with organizational partners (Executive Leadership,
Sustainability, Social Impact and Advocacy, Brand, Retail,
Ecommerce, PR etc.) to create and execute annual plan aimed at
driving consistent and positive conversations about the brand,
purpose and company initiatives with key audiences.
Leads day-to-day management of agency partners, external
communications including press, partners and influencers.
Ensures brand and CSR communications opportunities are
identified, integrated and aligned with business goals and
Conducts ongoing risk assessment of critical brand, sustainability
and industry issues in line with brand initiatives to lead
communications protocol and implementation.
Manages monitoring and issues response protocol especially in
relation to communications for human resources, retail, customer
service, digital and global teams.
Works with NA Public Relations and regional communications
partners to ensure globally integrated communications on behalf
of the business.
Be able to tell a story of the purpose of The brand
o Public land/non-profit/sustainability
Must be able to execute crisis management and risk management
strategy as well as react quickly to any crisis situation
Will work with Corporate Communications lead at the client
Helping to work towards global integration—not currently a true
