Awesome Director, Global Social Media & Engagement Opportunity

The Director of Global Social Media & Engagement is responsible for leading an iconic beatury brands’ social media program 
and managing an integrated team of two social media experts (Manager and Associate Manager). 
The ideal candidate will pride themselves in being nimble, creative and strategic. By staying current with the latest social media 
trends and developments, this person is a thought leader from trends to tactics, analytics to strategy and execution to 
performance with a blend of creative AND strategic mind. This person is responsible for guiding the strategic planning of 
objectives, goals and strategies across all channels and business units. As a master of multitasking and an expert in speed and 
efficiency, this person manages multiple activities both local and global by working closely with the Marketing teams (Global, US 
and international counterparts), Paid Media Leads, Search and other internal teams along with the advertising agency; planning 
quarterly and monthly content needs; initiating social innovation discussions; and continually having an eye to optimize owned 
social media channels by engaging community, sharing a memorable brand story, driving brand awareness and engagement to 
create a path to purchase. Experience working with beauty, lifestyle and luxury brands a plus but not required.  

MAJOR DUTIES 
 Provides the business and internal partners with insight, inspiration, clarity and creativity to build meaningful connections through social media and provide new ways of thinking about content and engagement. 
 Act as the key social engagement point of contact for the brand both in the US and internationally. 
 Ensures social media strategy goals, objectives and creative executions ladder up to overall brand strategy. 
 Serves as the key point of contact with international affiliates on social media strategy and content development. 
 Oversees global social media strategy development and execution across all campaigns; develops strong partnerships with regional and local market digital/social media leads to ensure full compliance with global direction. 
 Cultivates relationships with multi-agency partners and acts as a consultant for integrated work and social strategies.
 Ensures full collaboration with Global Marketing teams across Skincare, Makeup and Fragrance to ensure alignment on core 
marketing messages and programming via social media. 
 Delivers smart new strategies that drive value for the business through content and content distribution. 
 Oversees development of monthly and quarterly content calendars to ensure alignment with overall global marketing focus 
areas. Develop and maintain content calendars that are integrated within the needs of programming, publicity, Dot.Com, ad sales and marketing. 
 Develop social media and campaign specific KPIs and benchmarks to achieve and surpass brand goals and objectives. 
 Owns and leads the definition, conceptualization, execution and measurement of social media engagement programs, including fan engagement, campaigns, contests, promotions, community and advocacy programs along with paid media. Identifies opportunities to optimize content and redeploy as necessary. 
 Responsible for building and progressing in-house content creation and production capabilities. 

EXPERIENCE 
 Superior knowledge of social media marketing universe including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, 
Pinterest, Snapchat, YouTube, Tumblr, Google+, Reddit, forums, wikis, blogs and all emerging platforms. Should have 
working knowledge of social media/digital channels/performance outside of the US (i.e. WeChat & Weibo in China a plus). 
 Knowledge of digital PR and social marketing, with a deep understanding of how to create engaging experiences and articulate them through a multitude of social, digital and mobile channels. 
 Knowledge of paid media tactics and strategies and how they relate to and can help to amplify social media programs and campaigns. 
 Solid understanding of influencer strategies, including outreach, local vs. media influencer approaches and media partnerships 
 Experience with Social/Digital listening, tools, approaches to measurement/metrics, reporting, etc. Familiar with Sprinklr a 
plus. 
 Experience working with international markets a plus. 
 Willingness to work during non-business hours. 
 Strong interpersonal skills with ability to manage up, down and cross functionally. 
 Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Photoshop.
