Job Description:

Aquent's client is seeking a talented Jr. Digital Graphic Designer to join their team for a direct hire opportunity.  We are seeking talent with 2-3 years experience.    90% of the role is creating presentation decks and some infographics. What is most important is the excellent design skills.   They are seeking a style that is clean, crisp, aesthetically striking with breathing room on the page.

What will you do?

On a day to day basis, you’ll be working on presentations (decks). They have a team of high-level thinkers & designers that take presentations to a different level. It’s not the same old Powerpoint you’re used to seeing, we’re talking Ted level presentations. It’s not simple, it can be challenging, and we need someone that’s up for that challenge. Having someone who accepts that challenge and can think outside of the box to find solutions is key to having success in this position.

Who you are?

Flexibility and agility are also crucial to success. One minute you could be completely immersed in one project, and the next minute a client calls and you have to drop what you’re doing, switch gears, and knock out something new (at a high caliber) because the client wants it within the next two hours (or less). We need you to be a multitasking master. Juggling demanding (sometimes seemingly impossible) deadlines and multiple projects with grace is so very important. Ultimately, they need someone who is passionate, creative, talented, and a hard worker. Someone who has a positive attitude, willingness to get in the trenches, and eagerness to learn and always do better.

What you have?

Your new best friends are named Photoshop and PowerPoint. We primarily work in these two programs, and we expect you to be proficient in both. However, we’re always looking to refine our process. So, if you have a cool technique that is efficient and client friendly (but uses a different program), we want to know and learn! We do incorporate animation into our presentations. Sometimes this is done in PowerPoint. But, depending on the complexity and time frame, we will bring the animations into After Effects to perfect them. If you have After Effects experience, that’s a huge plus. If you don’t, it’s not a deal breaker.

While presentations/decks will be your primary focus, they also work on websites, infographics, brand assets, etc. Sometimes they have the opportunity to see a project through from conception to completion where they get to wireframe and/or storyboard. Sometimes we’ll need you to be a high-level thinker where you craft a story out of (what seems like) nothing. But all of the time you’ll need to be a creative team player who’s willing to do what needs to be done.

Their office is very open and collaborative. They welcome and want your thoughts, opinions, and ideas, as well as take criticism well and do your best to dodge those pesky rabbit holes. Always ask questions, be curious, ask your neighbor what they’re working on...you never know what may happen.

We are only considering talent currently residing in Atlanta. Our client is not offering sponsorship.
