Job Description:

This is a great opportunity for a multi-talented Senior Creative Designer to leverage your skills in Print, Digital and Media on a wide range of projects for a global client in the fashion and retail industry.  As a Senior Creative Designer with our on-site Studio, you will produce design proofs (and design concepts when required) for projects according to client provided creative briefs and following client style guides. Ideally we are seeking a creative and solution oriented professional with strong brand experience.

In this role you will be responsible for applying the client’s established branding guidelines and ensuring completed work meets client quality expectations. You will also be responsible for ensuring work is completed within stated timeframes and the agreed upon project budget. Projects are a mix of print and digital advertising (media), video, marketing collateral, event collateral, presentations, web & email assets, and social media assets.  Utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud, your responsibilities will also include preparing graphic files for various media (print, media, digital, web, mobile) and platforms while maintaining the integrity of the content art, design, and brand.

This is a temp-to-perm role in our Studio on-site at the client's elegant offices in Century City and reportes to our Global Account Director.  Must be available to work at least 3 days per week on site. 

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop a keen understanding of clients’ visual brands, style guides, target audiences, and communication objectives
  • Responsible for reviewing and understanding project scopes, objectives, requirements, and budget parameters
  • Design, layout, and format graphic files to print and digital specifications, and customer requirements
  • Project/Asset Types include: media: print & digital ads, marketing collateral, presentations, event collateral, web and social media assets, etc.
  • When requested, Present creative concepts to project management and clients as required, articulating how the design strategy will achieve specified objectives
  • Help identify and define design best practice while managing multiple projects and timelines concurrently, taking ownership of all deliverables
  • Exhibit a high level of accuracy when reviewing externally supplied files, setting up client files, and/or pre-flight of newly produced files
  • Be resourceful; resolve project issues effectively and collaboratively with project team
  • Accurately tracking and reporting time against own projects in Aquent time tracking tool, weekly
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule depending on client deadlines and volume of projects
  • Work on special projects or other tasks, as assigned by the Project Manager/Account Director

SKILLS DESIRED

  • Can translate creative brief into impactful designs that advance clients’ strategies and  achieve marketing goals while maintaining brand standards, budgets, and timelines.
  • Expert in use of Microsoft office and all Adobe Creative Cloud software
  • Experience working across different platforms; print, media, digital, mobile, presentation
  • Basic photo/image retouching experience
  • Basic video editing experience

  • Ability to respond and perform swiftly and seamlessly in a rapidly changing fast environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in creating print-ready large format and digital files to required specifications
  • Communicates easily and effectively with all levels of the organization; strong presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently under continual deadline constraints with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple quick-turn projects and changing priorities
  • Experience working with client provided masters and style/brand guidelines to produce assets
  • Ability to effectively evaluate photography for both visual style and content based on client direction/feedback from existing libraries and approved stock houses
  • Able to learn new software packages as needed
  • High level of flexibility, and the ability to work in a very fast-paced environment are key

Experience Desired

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or comparable work experience
  • 6+ years of experience in advertising, branding, design, and/or marketing communications with designing impactful corporate ads and B2B marketing campaign materials within corporate identity guidelines
  • Proven proficiency and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite including Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven proficiency and understanding of Adobe Creative Suite programs including but not limited InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Experience working across different platforms; print, media, digital, mobile
  • Basic photo/image retouching experience
  • Basic Video editing skills using Premier Pro and After Effects
  • Strong presentation design skills
