Job Description:

We have an exciting Creative Manager opportunity at a leading company in downtown San Francisco! This is an on-going contract that could last up to 18 months with the potential to convert before or at the 18 month mark. This role is focused on manging creative output of the Creative Production Team. 

The Creative Manager sets the creative vision for one of their leading production divisions. By creating dynamic art, photo, video, print, and digital training tools for desktop and mobile devices that maximizes customer retention, they work with cross‐functional partners from concept through execution. The ideal candidate possesses a combination of creative design skills, technical knowledge and the ability to provide clear, concise feedback within the team to create the most engaging learning experiences.

In addition, they will: 
- Be responsible for managing and producing design needs across mediums including, but not limited to: digital participant and facilitator guides, training videos, job aids, interactive PDF’s, print collateral, PowerPoint training presentations and web portals 
- Establish and implement design and format standards and processes to produce consistent and high‐quality results, consistent with Sephora brand 
- Demonstrate solid understanding of typography, photography, graphic design, digital design & video treatments; ensuring all assets adhere to brand guidelines 
- Participate in and support an environment of multidisciplinary collaboration and creative problem solving 
- Identify new tools or applications for the creation of impactful, effective educational content 
- Own the creation or curation of all assets, including working cross‐functionally to obtain content and cataloging assets in an organized fashion 
- Responsible for driving vision for all education video projects, from storyboard through final edit 
- Ability to provide concise feedback and direction to video content team 
- Write and/or provide feedback on video scripts 
- Act as art director for video treatment and/or on set, as needed 
- Drive own work and keep manager and team informed on progress of assignments 
- Recruit, manage, lead, mentor and guide excellent freelance design contractors and visual content partners, as needed 

We’re excited about you if you have: 
- Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in graphic design or a related field 
- Minimum 6+ years professional design experience in an agency or in‐house studio 
- Full and technical understanding of Adobe CS and Mac OS, and working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Acrobat (this position will need to work in PowerPoint) 
- Portfolio that demonstrates ability to design for video/motion content (Education video content experience a plus) 
- Strong understanding of web UI standards, responsive design frameworks (basic HTML, CSS, Java script knowledge a plus) 
- Experience recruiting and managing a multifunctional design team 
- Solid organizational skills, detail‐oriented; time management skills, ability to juggle priorities 
- Strong relationship‐building skills; ability to work with a variety of people in various disciplines 
- Understanding of digital trends and best practices, current fashion and beauty trends, environmental 
graphics and production process 
- Ability to work in a very fast paced environment and meet tight deadlines 
- The drive to excel and succeed; self‐motivated
