Fantastic Opportunity at a major Beauty Company -- Director, Fragrance Marketing 

The Director, Fragrance Marketing will understand brand/category needs and provide leadership, vision, and infrastructure support for the achievement 
of innovation and brand portfolio/category expertise against corporate businesses and brand equities. Establish and lead the 
overall strategic direction of the brand and category from concept to execution. Execute strategies that maximize return on 
marketing investment and deliver competitive advantage. 

 Lead and inspire the development, recommendation, and implementation of strategies that drive the business. 
 Recommend and supervise the implementation of improvements for product life cycle management. 
 Provide leadership and collaborate across the organization in pursuit of business objectives with key partners, including but not limited to R&D, Market Research, Packaging, Operations and Finance. 
 Lead the development and execution of the category’s new product development process. 
 Identify and oversee the application of new relevant consumer insights and trends that lead to innovation. 
 Determine brand-advertising strategies. 
 Achieve budgeted volume and profit results for sub-brand portfolios/category. 
 Responsible for sub-brand portfolio/category P&L. 
 Lead and inspire the development and execution of breakthrough brand communications in all media (TV, Print, On-Line, 
Direct-to-Consumer promotions) 
 Lead segment budget development and monitor from concept to execution. 
 Lead analysis and insights against brand and/or category review. Challenge and inspire others to uncover relevant and 
meaningful insights. 
 Lead career management and development of direct reports (where applicable). Set a positive example for direct reports in 
teaching them to develop talent and managing the careers of others. 

 7-10 years’ experience in a fragrance or global marketing position, with a minimum of 5 years working in a global capacity 
across multiple functional areas and geographies. 
 5+ years’ experience leading and managing people at various layers of an organization and across multiple locations. 
 Significant experience driving and managing solutions in the following areas: strategy, forecasting, cost of good analysis, 
trends and market data. 
 Experience creating and implementing projects and process changes from inception to completion. 

 Must be a dynamic leader who is comfortable with productive change and skilled in leading a team in a face-paced environment. 
 Superior knowledge of the business at all levels: product/portfolios, competition, trade, advertising, promotion, finance, market research, human resources, and elements of a marketing mix. 
 Strong analytical and research capabilities to evaluate category opportunities and challenges and uncover new consumer insights. 
 Collaboration cross-functionally in pursuit of brand/category and company business goals.

 Industry knowledge a must

 Effective prioritization, implementation and monitoring of brand/category plans and initiatives. 
 Strong communication skills to persuade others, articulate a point of view, and set direction. 
 Effective supervision and training of direct reports in achievement of brand/category objectives. 

 Undergraduate degree or equivalent required 
 Masters/graduate degree or equivalent desirable
