Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented event marketing professional to lead our event strategy for this initiative. This individual will be responsible for building and executing upon our owned and earned event strategy, working closely with marketing, communications, policy and partnerships to ensure we are taking part in important conversations across the industry. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator that has experience building programs from the ground up and a proven track record of creating marketing materials and executing events that clearly map back to tangible business goals.


  • Build a longterm event strategy for this initiative from scratch
  • Work with cross-functional partners to plan events in key markets like hackathons, roundtables, and workshops from conception to execution
  • Secure and plan speaking engagements for our spokespeople at top tier and industry events
  • Manage the production of all creative assets, messaging and tactical needs for all facets of event management (e.g. event, event marketing, amplification)
  • Identify and negotiate event sponsorship opportunities that align with our mission and goals
  • Build relationships with key industry players

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 7+ years of experience in managing events
  • A proven track record of executing comprehensive event programs in global and emerging markets
  • Existing relationships with event organizers across the technology and business industries
  • Experience managing creative and design partners to develop and produce high-quality creative executions
  • Ability to work and execute in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience working with Fortune 500 or AdAge 100 companies
  • Experience working in the consumer or enterprise technology industries, or in the telecommunications industry
