Job Description:

Responsible for the daily management of all advertising and promotional projects, facilitation of the Promotional Review Committee process, and serve as the liaison between product/brand teams and agency/vendors for respective brands. This portfolio management is important to assure multiple product launches coordination, maintain KPI and give input to consolidate data to build a global project portfolio. Manage directly OTC Special US projects from project definition up to project closure. Build and lead project core teams coming from transverse functions. Ensure attainment of project objectives while respecting the budget and timeline with an adequate reporting to the organization.

Major Accountabilities

  • Project Management
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills in support of the global marketing plans and initiatives
  • Manage the execution and production of high quality advertising and promotional materials.
  • This involves reviewing content for accuracy, compliance, and visual appeal in support of brand objectives
  • Lead promotional projects from inception to completion
  • Serve as liaison between product/brand teams and agency/vendors
  • Complete all projects on time and within budget for all Shopper Marketing initiatives
  • Monitor budget spend for brand teams
  • Collect upfront Marketing request for special needs (Displays, Special Packs, Samples for magazine, …)
  • Leadership
  • Manage special projects
  • Share key learnings with the team
  • Look for ways to improve and streamline processes
  • Train new team members on the Marketing Communications role, processes and procedures
  • Responsible for the personnel management, development and performance management of two Associate II’s
  • Conduct expert planning and provide direction on the product’s focus for optometry meetings, congresses, conventions
  • Lead the OTC organization of negotiating, planning and enforcement of print and online trade media schedules for assigned brands
  • Compliance
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of compliance guidelines for all promotional materials
  • Act as a consultant and advocate for the Promotional Review Committee process for respective brand teams
  • Follow all procedures and route all materials to ensure 100% compliance
  • Be a Brand Steward
  • Provide strategic insight to the global and U.S. marketing teams in development of advertising and promotional projects
  • Strive to add value through innovative ideas, cost savings and overall knowledge of marketing plans and tactics

Skills:

  • 6‐8 years experience in marketing communications, marketing and/or project management
  • Competency/Technical Skills:

    • Excellent communication skills ‐ written and oral
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to secure cooperation with internal and external customers to meet objectives
      • •Ability to work effectively with varying personality types including multi‐functional areas such as Regulatory Affairs, R&D, and external vendors/partners

Education:

BBA with emphasis in marketing, advertising or communications
