Job Description:

Aquent's Fortune500 client in Minneapolis, MN is looking for a UX Research Assistant for a 6 month assignment (40/hrs 5 days onsite) with potential to extend beyond. 

Overview:

The User Experience Research team is part of the Customer Experience team. We support the company website (desktop and mobile) and the company App with getting feedback directly from customers in the form of usability research. This team is very customer driven, and is the first forefront into what the customers are thinking and feeling about the website and app. This is a highly collaborative and close-knit team that is proactive, innovative, and engaged.  Everything designed on the website will go through this team!

In this role, you will be assisting 5 researchers on the team, working on multiple projects. Taking notes during intake meetings and during the entire process of the research, scheduling meetings, contacting vendors as necessary, entry-level research. Assisting where needed with things such as: heuristic evaluations, usability testing, co-creation, digital ethnography, etc. Planning, executing, and presenting results 1-2 projects per month.

Assist in:
meeting with design teams to determine their needs and helping the researchers with any activities they need to intake, plan, conduct, analyze and present results.

  • 5 years of experience in an administrative role
  • MS Office Intermediate
  • Strong Typing Skills

Some experience and knowledge in the UX industry (designer, writer, information architect, or research), writing, attention to detail, listening skills, collaboration with broader team and research team preferred

Additional skills: 

  • Experience planning, facilitating, and analyzing usability studies (desktop and mobile)
  • Wide knowledge of usability research methods, knowledge of UI heuristics, computer and phone skills an absolute must.
  • Sprit of helping-“How can I help you?”
  • Go getter and proactive problem solver
