Job Description:

Overview:

  • Conceives innovative user-interface models that explore concepts that lie well outside today as typical application paradigms
  • Creates user task models, user experience architecture, wireframe level design through to prototypes
  • Defines the user experience vision, brand strategy, solution innovation, and prototyping
  • Identifies user-centered design patterns, establishes scenarios, places designs into user context, and creates interactions that align to those requirements
  • Designs rich, visual, user-interaction solutions across a range of platforms and mediums
  • Acts as a key player in the strategic design process of projects, assuming responsibility for the overall customer experience strategy and execution
  • Works with outside vendors on producing creative/interactive projects or digital assets
  • Keeps current with the latest in interactive and visual design technologies and investigates new technologies and methods to bring cutting edge functionality for future development

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Designs rich, visual, user-interaction solutions across a range of platforms and mediums
  • Assesses the dynamics of the problem and establishes a strategy / methodology to solve it
  • Works with outside vendors on producing creative/interactive projects or digital assets
  • Establishes interaction plans and control mechanisms for vendors & assesses progress against plans
  • Able to effectively communicate with teams (suppliers, vendors) to close project issues
  • Can effectively present project issues and ensure alignment with core teams and cross functional management in a diplomatic matter
  • Validates and refines ambiguous expectations with some coaching
  • Understands the importance of expectations
  • ​Acts as a key player in the design process of projects, assuming responsibility project deliverables and the overall customer experience execution; helping take visual design/ux from concept to a fully executed deliverable 
  • Designs rich visual and user-interaction solutions across a range of platforms and mediums 
  • Identifies user-centered design patterns, establishes scenarios, illustrations, and storyboards that place the design concepts into user context and creates interactions that align with program requirements 
  • Conceives innovative user-interface models that explore concepts that accomplish core program requirements with exceptional design and user experience 
  • Creates user task models, user experience / information architecture, and wireframe level design through to conceptual prototypes 
  • Delivers visual and behavioral specifications and production assets 
  • Works ongoing with product/project managers and developers to ensure completion of product/application design as specified 

Description Comments:

Defines and creates user experience design deliverables across software project initiatives including concept ideation/exploration, wire-framing, user-flow analysis, interaction design, interactive prototyping, visual design, branding and execution.

Ensures visual and interactive designs achieve the highest level of appeal/desirability, effectiveness, usability, and customer satisfaction.

Must Haves:

• MUST SUBMIT A PORTFOLIO FOR CONSIDERATION

• Undergraduate degree and 4-8 years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 2-4 years relevant experience

• Strong skillset in digital design with an emphasis on user interfaces for Windows desktop, mobile (iOS/Android), and web applications

• Strong level proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, After Effects)

• Excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills

• Ability to distill complex problems into intuitive, clean, user-friendly designs

• Experience with creating detailed workflow specifications and behaviors for development teams

• Expert in User Experience concepts, Information Architecture, and software brand strategy

• Able to follow and apply existing Design Language Guidelines

• Strong understanding of and experience with typography, color, texture, layout, and general visual design for branding/commerce environments

• Must be up to date with the latest in interactive and visual design trends

• Ability to draw, sketch, illustrate by hand (e.g., to create concept scenario visualizations and storyboards)

• Experience with UI motion, animation/transition graphics, and video tools (e.g., After Effects, Premiere)

Optional/Nice to Have:

• Able to process and integrate usability studies, reports, trends, data, and information into plans, deliverables, and recommendations

• Experience creating interactive prototypes with InVision, Axure, etc.

• Expertise with copywriting/editing, UI text, help/support content

• Experience with Enterprise/IT infrastructure management applications and/or data protection/security technologies

• Experience with CSS, HTML, Twitter bootstrap, JavaScript
