Job Description:

AQUENT is seeking an Art Director with a strong background in PR, brand marketing & social media platform managers to join an innovative, highly collaborative team with one of the biggest brands. The ideal candidate will collaborate with agency creative partners to create and execute design concepts. You should also have experience on strategic visual concept development and in leading visual design projects from concept to completion. This is a MID-LEVEL role, onsite assignment 40 hours a week in McLean, VA. Potential to convert.

As the Art Director, what will you do?

  • Create engaging thumb-stopping ads
  • Visually support storytelling efforts by designing and executing creative for a variety of on-line and social platforms that deliver engaging and remarkable overall experiences
  • Projects will include development of original graphics, infographics, campaign creative, as well as photo/imagery retouching and video production
  •  Create for a variety of digital and social channels, websites, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & SnapChat
  • Brainstorm, strategically...with other creatives! 
  • Execute all stages of design projects, from concept to creation - all adhering to our brand standards
  • Presenting strong concepts and ideas 
  • Work closely with an Editorial Content Lead to schedule projects and coordinate production
  • Manage multiple jobs simultaneously

As the  Art Director, you will be successful if you have these skills & experiences:

  • 2-5 years agency or related experience
  • Must possess a BS/BA/BFA degree
  • A professional level knowledge of industry standard design software and tools including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign, Flash, Dreamweaver, After Effects
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Layout skills, mastery of typography, color theory, and the fundamentals of graphic and digital design; traditional illustration skills, and versatility in style
  • Superb verbal and written communications skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, excellent organizational skills, and ability to juggle multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills
