The ideal talent will be responsible for but not limited to: Working as part of the User Experience team, you will develop and document user-centric design methodologies, style guides, web standards and CSS/HTML best practices. Responsible for hand coding of CSS/HTML, prototyping of website pages, interaction of website pages, code walkthrough, testing and QA. Will also make recommendations for front end technologies. Must have experience with website front end coding and interaction design, proven knowledge of standards-compliant cross-browser compatible XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery, including CSS3 and HTML 5. Capable of converting Photoshop/Framework mock ups into CSS/XHTML templates for back end developer use. Skilled with image optimization. Strong understanding of usability and accessibility issues. Experience with hand coding CSS/XHTML, coding Java, including JSF and JSP and experience with Web 2.0 applications (social media, mobile, tablet). 

Work with our team of product owners, business and system analysts, programmers and testers in an Agile environment.

Determine design specifications for various devices/user interfaces (desktop, tablet, smart phone) and interactions for products in development. Consider user needs (visual interaction, physical manipulation, human error control) by designing the user experience and interface using a prototyping tool (Invision, Sketch) from user requirement specifications.

Review and test UI to ensure products meet high standards of usability and design excellence.

Define and maintain our components library in Schwab’s design system (Mosaic) to leverage components and ensure consistency of design and experience across devices.

Preferred: experience designing user experiences and interfaces for a variety devices (desktop, tablet, smart phones).

Knowledge of and experience with XHTML and CSS and designing to be ADA compliant.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
