As a Conversation Designer at Aquent's Client, you’ll leverage your expert knowledge of human language and communication to create seamless and natural interactions for digital systems across surfaces. You will be in a unique position to create voice-only and voice-forward experiences for products as diverse as Home Entertainment, Automation and Security, Automotive, Wearables, and more.
Develop high-level and detailed storyboards, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate conversational interactions and design ideas.
Create detailed, comprehensive conversation design specifications in collaboration with Engineering.
Define and extend voice personæ for various new product areas.
Evaluate usability and audio consistency of existing dialog flows and recommend design changes.
Create guidelines, reference artifacts, and resources for third-party developers to assist in conversation design and prompt writing.
Develop and advocate design best practices and guidelines to ensure a consistent brand-experience for users across The Company.
BA/BS degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3-5 years of experience in designing voice-only or voice-forward applications.
Experience in designing voice-only and voice-forward interaction flows across a variety of usability contexts and device types.
Experience with qualitative usability testing.
Experience on a design team that ships consumer products.
Experience in persona designing/writing.
Experience in designing and tuning directed dialog and natural language speech grammars.
Demonstrated technical knowledge of relevant topics in discourse analysis, pragmatics and prosody.
Technical knowledge of the mechanics of speaking and writing.
Fluency in Hindi and/or Portuguese.
