Job Description:

Our client is seeking a seasoned Project/Program Manager with 5-10 years of project management experience (ideal experience with contingency staff models). PMP certification strongly desired. 

Each business area of this large tech org. that has Contractors, Business Guests and/or Outsourced arrangements has to have a clear plan to ensure compliance and adherence to a new policy come October 31st, 2020. This plan must provide business continuity and retention of key skills as needed by each business area. This role will work cross-departmentally to develop and manage that plan.

-Define what is the optimal external staff model for each business area

-Data Analytics experience – (2+ years financial space desired)

-Prior Experience with Compensation analysis and management skills for external staff highly desired

•          Ensure that each area has a line by line inventory of accurate information relating to each category of external staff along with a plan for each category of staff to avoid business disruption come October 2020 (e.g. release / replace, outsource certify, revoke business guest agreement, incorporate into a new managed services contract, move roles to FTE)

•          Leverage VMS and other suppliers as appropriate to ensure appropriate communications are managed.

•          Ensure business contacts and Sponsor managers are kept updated with regular reporting and communications as needed.

•          Create a consistent approach and governance model to address exceptions requests or inconsistency in the Canada of policy adoption.

•          Ability to communicate key data to internal and external stakeholders

•          Delivering the projects’ primary end result on schedule and within budget

•          Continually reporting on project progress and potential risks to stakeholders along with proposal to mitigate risks

 

Critical PM Skills:

•          Ability to develop project charters, document project scope, develop project management plans, create and manage the project schedules, and assign tasks to team members as appropriate

•          Project status reporting on a frequent basis

•          Communication skills are essential

•          Ability to lead project meetings with team effectively, and manage the project team

•          Ability to influence, manage issues and resolve conflict

•          Data driven

 

Skills and Experience required:

 

•          Strong organizational skills both as an individual and of others

•          Able to build project plans and ensure compliance to those within deadlines

•          Ability to work with multiple stakeholders

•          Strong communications skills both written and oral
