Job Description:

START DATE: ASAP

The Assistant Designer prepares basic flat sketch designs and assists with basic specification of product. In addition, this designer will work on color b.o.m.'s, attend fitting sessions with the manager; make revisions to sketch and design package as needed, and help in researching the local market. The Assistant Designer is responsible for administration and follow up of product design process to include preparation of technical packages and presentation boards and should understand the PDM process, email correspondence, etc. This position will require experience in trimming supplies and/or working with the Trim Department to keep abreast our current ideas. Basic computer knowledge and the ability to learn how to design through new/advanced technology (e.g., adobe illustrator cad program) is required. Basic product and fabric knowledge is a must, as well as the understanding of garment construction and color sense. A college degree in Fashion Design or related field is preferred or one year design experience (may include summer jobs, internships, etc.)

 Additional Desired Skills: Men’s experience is a plus
