Job Description:

Seeking a Copywriter to join a creative team at a large biotech client in Weston MA.  The copywriter will be responsible for the integrity of the copy for marketing communications materials and programs, through strategic direction and development of targeted messaging for both offline and online initiatives. Ensures copy is consistent with individual brand standards. This will start as a 6 month contract role with the potential to extend longer.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to 

• Execute writing assignments that are on brand, on voice, and on strategy across all media channels 
o Working off of creative briefs, partner with designers to develop and execute concepts for marketing initiatives as well as handle day-to-day turn-key copy needs 
o Work collaboratively with creative partners as well as other members of creative and core departments 
o Manage workload efficiently and take responsibility for timing and delivery 
o Self-direct in developing great work within guidelines and budget 
o Effectively present ideas and concepts 
o Successfully incorporate all changes and suggestions from stakeholders, legal and compliance reviewers 
• Be a leader in content development and the voice of the brands 
o Maintain deep industry and brand specific knowledge 
o Mirror tone set by external agency for each brand 
o Confirm accuracy of references leveraged in the materials being developed – both from existing and new pieces 
o Maintain knowledge of industry and marketing communications trends and partner with creative leadership to incorporate new ideas into team's process and procedures 
o Create content that helps to further establish as a thought leader in our key industry segments 


• 4-8 years in an advertising agency environment. Biotech/Pharma industry related experience strongly preferred 
• Superior writing skills, as well as strong copy editing, proofreading and research skills 
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, business partnering, and presentation skills 
• Must be collaborative with proven ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Experience developing and using white papers, case studies, and testimonials to support integrated marketing programs 
• Detail oriented with keen eye for accuracy 


Bachelor’s degree, preferably with concentration in English, journalism, communications, or equivalent experience combined with an outstanding creative portfolio
