The Video Asset Specialist provides operational support to the asset management & production team.
Manage the Archival BTS Restoration Project - includes receiving, transcoding, light editing, exporting
and delivery. Also requires tracking and documenting all steps and regular communication with
Client Sound representatives on project status.
Archival of finished Avid projects - requires following established workflow guidelines for Avid editorial
layout, export and naming conventions.
Assisting in fulfilling 'dub requests' - requires search and retrieval of archived assets, light editing based
on project needs, export/compression and delivery.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in video production, editorial, or post-production.
Extremely strong organizational, communication and time management skills.
Capable of making sound decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple demands with professional diplomacy.
Flexible, receptive and open to change.
Self-directed, detail-oriented and a problem solver with a desire to contribute to a uniquely creative
Substantive knowledge of Avid and post production software and file types, patch bays and decks file
maker pro data bases. Capable of editing on an Avid.
Experience with Avid Media Composer
Experience managing media in Avid and on a shared storage ISIS
Experience using compression tools
Experience using FileMaker Pro
Experience using Windows, Excel, etc.
Knowledge of standard AMA-link/transcode workflow in Avid
Knowledge of various camera types/formats/codecs
Knowledge of Premiere, Final Cut, etc. a plus
