Job Description:

We have an exciting contract to hire Marketing Analyst at a growing beauty organization in Alameda! They are looking for an experienced Data Analyst who is able turn business 
questions into actionable analyses. Our ideal candidate is someone who is able to understand business needs, be proactive in addressing opportunities or issues and turn reports into actionable insights. 

This role will be creating tables to analyze their omni-channel marketing needs across all platforms to help strategize new business needs. 

- Provide quantitative research, modeling, analysis and visualization support to identify 
business opportunities and/or issues 
- Monitor and track website behavior (e.g. traffic, conversion rate, product performance, 
- Identify and track the metrics to measure the success of our marketing and overall 
- Create weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to share with marketing and upper-level 
- Collaborate cross-department to define, monitor and support business needs and 
transform business questions into actionable analyses 
- Make recommendations for strategic omni-channel business decisions using data-driven 
analyses and insights. Projects may include: sales reforecasting, omni-channel 
ecosystem and marketing spend, customer profiling across channels, etc. 
- Propose, execute and analyze A/B tests (e.g. website, promotional, etc.) 
- Propose and onboard tools necessary for success 
- Measure and improve data quality within database 

Our Ideal Candidate 
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field 
- 1-3 years of data mining experience 
- 2-4 years in a data analyst role 
- Experience in B2C, beauty or retail a plus 
- Understanding of the tools needed to be successful and you’re able to translate data 
findings into actionable insights 
- Ability to create compelling presentation for both internal and external teams 
- You care about the customer – constantly looking for ways to improve their experience 
and engagement with our business 
- Curious and hungry – naturally and constantly seeking ways to learn, connect the dots 
and improve 
- Not scared to roll your sleeves up and take on a project or question with little insight 
into what the end result will look like 
- Experience with e-commerce marketplaces (Amazon, Jet, eBay) 
- Experience with omni-channel reporting (brand website, retail, marketplace, print, etc.)
